Passengers at Dubai International Airport (DXB) can carry up to 15 mobile devices in their luggage, but under strict conditions. This rule has been announced following an increase in passenger numbers; Dubai alone hosted 17.55 million tourists in 2025.

According to the security guidelines of Dubai airports, 15 mobile phones are allowed in addition to a personal device, but only if they are in their original factory packaging. Otherwise, the phones may be confiscated. This restriction has been imposed due to the fire hazard posed by lithium batteries.

Security officials remind passengers of the following:
- Place metal objects in designated trays before passing through the inspection device
- Avoid carrying prohibited items such as lighters, flammable containers, or toy weapons
- Do not leave your luggage unattended and do not carry items for strangers
- Carry a medical prescription for medications and a medical certificate for implanted metal devices
- Say goodbye to companions at home to reduce airport congestion

Dubai Airport is installing next-generation CT Scanners in the DXB terminals. These scanners produce high-quality 3D images of carry-on luggage and have the ability to more accurately detect explosives. This project is being implemented under a multi-year contract with Smiths Detection by Dubai Aviation Engineering Projects (DAEP).

The global airport security market is expected to exceed $38 billion by 2035, and the UAE market will reach $3.2 billion by 2030. The 25th edition of the Airport Show will be held at Dubai World Trade Center.
