Botim provides small businesses in the UAE loans ranging from 10,000 to 500,000 Dirhams.
Small businesses in the UAE can now obtain loans from 10,000 to 500,000 Dirhams to cover operational costs, pay employee salaries, or expand their activities. This opportunity has been made available by Botim through the launch of a new digital financing service for micro and small businesses.
This service, introduced on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, allows for loan repayment over a maximum period of 12 months. The financial technology and payment company Geidea is also involved in implementing this initiative.
In the first phase, this collaboration is set to cover over 30,000 eligible businesses within the Geidea network and Botim partners. Limited liability companies and sole proprietorships can also benefit from these facilities if they meet the necessary criteria.
One of the features of this service is the use of AI-based tools for assessing the creditworthiness of applicants. This system evaluates the conditions for loan approval and the appropriate amount for each applicant by examining transaction data, cash flow, and the credit history of the business; a method that, according to the company, can expedite the application review process.
This initiative has been introduced at a time when small businesses constitute about 94% of all companies in the UAE and account for more than 60% of the country's non-oil GDP. However, many of them still face challenges in accessing working capital due to the stringent conditions for obtaining financing and the lengthy application process.
Tariq Bin Hendi, CEO of Botim, stated that micro businesses make up about 70% of small and medium enterprises in the UAE, and many of their owners are seeking formal financing for the first time.
He also highlighted the UAE's goal to increase the number of small and medium enterprises to one million by 2030, emphasizing that this service aims to facilitate access to the necessary capital for business owners through technology.
However, it should be noted that these facilities are not automatically available to all businesses and obtaining them depends on the eligibility of the applicant.
