Apple Unveils New Smart Home Products with Artificial Intelligence Features
Apple has unveiled new smart home products; introducing HomeView, Apple TV 4K, and HomePod mini 2
Apple has introduced a new range of smart home products, including the smart display HomeView, fourth-generation Apple TV 4K, second-generation HomePod mini speaker, and home security and control equipment. These products are designed to simplify home management and expand the use of artificial intelligence in daily life.
One of the most important products introduced is the smart display HomeView, which is equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen and can be installed on a table or wall. This device allows control of lights, setting home temperature, managing door locks, viewing images from security cameras, playing music, and making FaceTime video calls.
HomeView can also recognize up to six family members and display a personalized home screen for each. This device supports the new version of the AI-based Siri voice assistant, which, when connected to a compatible iPhone or iPad, can provide responses tailored to users' personal information and needs.
Apple has also introduced the second-generation HomePod mini speaker with the new S10 chip. This speaker will be available in five colors: pink, green, blue, white, and black, and can connect up to four speakers to the new Apple TV 4K for surround sound. Users can also use it as the default speaker for Mac computers. More advanced AI features of Siri are expected to be added to this product in the future through software updates.
The fourth-generation Apple TV 4K is another new product from Apple, equipped with the A19 chip. According to Apple, the processor of this device is up to 50% faster than the previous generation, and its graphical performance has also doubled. The new remote supports precise finding with an iPhone and can play sound if lost.
Alongside these products, Apple, in collaboration with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric, has introduced a range of smart home equipment, including security cameras, video doorbells, digital locks, thermostats, and temperature and humidity sensors.
The new cameras can identify people, pets, vehicles, and delivery packages. Some AI-based features also allow for natural language searching of recorded images. The smart locks in this collection can automatically unlock when the homeowner approaches with a compatible iPhone or Apple Watch.
