In the UAE, financial support for workers reached over 832 million dirhams in the first half of 2026.

According to the Ministry of Human Resources of the UAE, more than 44,000 workers benefited from the worker support program and received a total of over 320 million dirhams in compensation.

On the other hand, the unemployment insurance scheme has paid more than 512 million dirhams to individuals who lost their jobs from the beginning of 2024 until the end of the first half of 2026.

However, the support has not been solely financial; over 1.3 million workers participated in awareness courses on rights and labor laws, which were conducted in 17 languages.

With the continuation of the summer heat, more than 12,000 rest stations have been designated for delivery drivers to have a place to rest and recover while working in high temperatures.

In the housing sector, over 2,800 worker accommodation facilities have been registered in the Ministry's system, providing around 2 million workers with standard health, safety, and welfare conditions.
