With the excitement of the 2026 World Cup, a jeweler in Dubai has created a model of the World Cup that may claim the title of the most expensive Lego collection in the world.

‘Himant Karamsandani’, an Indian jeweler who has been active in Dubai for over 25 years, has decorated a World Cup Lego model with more than 900 diamond pieces and custom components made of 18-carat gold, bringing its value to around 300,000 Dirhams.

The story began when his 10-year-old son, ‘Yash’, bought a World Cup Lego set and started building it. The father, who had spent years creating custom jewelry for wealthy clients and celebrities, decided to work on his son's toy this time and give it a unique touch.

Yash completed the Lego model in three days, but his father spent another 35 days carefully installing the golden and diamond-studded pieces on it. The result was a 36-centimeter model that has recently attracted many visitors at the ‘Pushan Jewelers’ workshop in Dubai's Gold and Diamond Park.

This model was originally an 800 Dirham Lego set, but after adding diamonds and handcrafted gold pieces, its value increased hundreds of times.

The creator of this piece says that a final decision about its fate has not yet been made, and options such as donating it to charity or even displaying it in the future Dubai Museum are being considered.

This diamond-studded Lego trophy is set to be showcased as part of the ‘Beyond the Game’ project and the ‘100 Dreams. 100 Opportunities’ campaign in shopping malls, exhibitions, and football events across the UAE. The aim of this program is to inspire children and teenagers to engage in sports, creativity, and pursue big dreams.

Interestingly, the value of this model has surpassed the estimated value of the actual FIFA World Cup trophy. The actual trophy, made of 18-carat gold, is valued at about 250,000 dollars and is protected by a 20 million dollar insurance due to its historical significance. However, the World Cup champion team does not receive the original version and is only presented with a gold-plated model.
