If you place a short order in Dubai, this time the delivery person may arrive on an electric bicycle instead of a car.

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai has expanded the electric bicycle delivery service to 11 authorized areas after a trial period.

The seven new areas include Media City, Dubai Marina, JLT, Al Barsha, and other areas; including Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard, Al Towar 1 and 2, and Al Qusais 1.

This service is designed for short distances so that delivery personnel do not need larger vehicles for each order. Another goal is to speed up communication between delivery points, neighborhoods, and commercial centers while reducing dependence on cars.

This initiative is part of Dubai's broader plan to develop sustainable transport and greener mobility in the city.
