Burj Al Arab, one of Dubai's main symbols, has closed for its first major renovation and is set to reopen to guests in October 2027.

This hotel, which has become one of the most recognized images of Dubai since December 1999 with its sail-like design and artificial island, is now entering a new phase after more than two decades of operation.

The interior renovation of Burj Al Arab will be carried out by Tristan Auer, a renowned French interior designer. Most of the current luxury elements of the hotel are expected to be preserved, including gold leaf, statuary marble, and Swarovski crystals.

Alongside these elements, custom fabrics, bespoke finishes, and some new and subtle technologies will also be added to the interior space.

Auer stated in a video released on August 5 that the goal of this project is to continue the legacy of Burj Al Arab "between sky and sea."

This renovation began in April 2026 and aims to prepare the appearance and interior of the building for the next season without destroying the identity and famous design of Burj Al Arab.
