Attention Iranian Residents in the UAE and Iranian Travelers Coming to the UAE:

According to a report by the IRIB News Agency, due to issues faced by travelers entering and exiting the United Arab Emirates, an important notice has been issued for citizens who change their passports after entering Iran.

The main issue is that the details of the new passport issued in Iran are not automatically registered in the UAE's border control systems. Therefore, when travelers re-enter this country, only the information from their old passport can be retrieved in the UAE systems.

According to this notice, travelers intending to return to the UAE are strongly advised that if they have changed their passport in Iran, they must also carry their old passport with them.

Not having the old passport when returning to the UAE can have serious consequences, including denial of entry, long delays at the border, or even being sent back to the point of origin.

It is emphasized that travelers on routes to the UAE should present both documents (the new passport and the old passport) to the border control officers for verification and completion of passport procedures.
