Parkin Dubai has started installing smart parking cameras in 3 main areas.

The company Parkin announced that it has begun installing over 500 roadside and pole-mounted parking cameras in three main areas of Dubai.

These cameras will be installed in the first phase of the smart street parking system in the areas of 'Trade Center 1', 'Burj Khalifa', and 'Al Corniche'.

According to the company, the installed roadside cameras are the first of their kind in the Middle East.

The aim of this project is to transform the car parking experience into a faster and more predictable process for users, reducing the time spent searching for parking spaces, minimizing the likelihood of fines, and allowing parking fees to be paid automatically through the Parkin app.

Additionally, parking cameras have been installed in various sections of controlled parking lots across Dubai, and another 200 cameras are set to be added in several areas.

These systems utilize AI-equipped camera technology that can capture images of vehicles and automatically recognize their license plates.

Thus, the entry and exit times of vehicles, duration of stay, automatic payment of parking fees, and even recording of violations will be done automatically.

All these cameras operate on solar energy and have the capability to monitor parking capacity in real-time and facilitate automatic payments.

Furthermore, all systems will be fully integrated with the Parkin app to enable payments through the Parkin Wallet.

The company Parkin stated that this project will help improve access to parking spaces, increase vehicle turnover, and reduce traffic caused by the search for parking.
