The United Arab Emirates has announced that distance learning in schools and educational institutions across the country will continue for two weeks after the end of the spring break. This measure is one of three strategies announced on Monday to ensure the safety of students and maintain educational continuity.
This announcement came after officials advanced the spring break for students and education sector staff across the UAE. The Ministry of Education announced on Monday that distance learning will begin on Monday, February 27, and will continue until Friday, March 10. This decision applies to students, teaching staff, and administrative personnel in all kindergartens, public schools, and private schools across the country.
Officials stated that the weekly situation will be reviewed, and new information will be communicated to the public through official channels to ensure the safety of students and staff.
Distance learning has been specifically allowed for schools, kindergartens, and higher education institutions to plan their return to in-person education in coordination with the relevant authorities.
Distance Learning for Universities
The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research also announced that distance learning for students of all higher education institutions across the country will continue for two weeks after the spring break. These educational institutions can determine the most suitable arrangements for their teaching and administrative staff.
